Short-handed Saints battling in A-Grade

Barnies Saints struggled through the first half with only 10 men on Saturday for their A-Grade clash against Waratah United.

Already two goals down, Saints managed to pull one back through Ben Sims just before halftime.

Saints captain Ash Honeysett was pleased his side lifted after the break.

“We managed to get an 11th man at half time, Ash Honeysett said, “and our second half was much better.

“We created some good chances that forced some top saves from the Tahs keeper, but unfortunately they scored again.

“We hit back right on the full time buzzer thanks to an own goal but was all just late for the comeback.”

The final score : a 2-3 to win to Waratah United.
