Random goals hand Denley defeat
It took three dodgy goals to split the two sides near the top of the C-Grade competition on Sunday, Waratah Wanderers in 2nd place and Denley Moor now sitting in fifth.
With Denley missing a number of key players, neither side could find the net in the first half before a mixed-up collision between the Denley keeper, defender Chris Cameron and attacking tahs forward saw a random ball sail skyward before bending into the goal.
Both sides had their chances as the second half began, before a Denley cross hit the cross bar and might have bounced over the line.
With a draw beckoning and minutes before the final whistle, a Tahs shot heading wide of the goal was deflected off a defender and behind the keeper, handing the 2-1 win to Waratahs.
