Nothing to split C-Grade's top two sides

The two sides sharing the top of the table positions in C-Grade met on Saturday, but a 1-1 between Barnies United and Waratah Wanderers draw gave a glimpse of a tough end-of-season battle ahead.

Barnies midfielder Brett Hazzard was on the spot to open the scoring with a simple finish after a corner in the first half.

The arm-wrestle continued through the match, with Barnies dominating possession but tahs allowed to make a series of attacking raids.

The leveler came in the last five minutes when tahs forward Brendon Bordic found space between tiring Barnies defenders to score.

The goal was only the second scored against United all season, the draw leaving the side’s undefeated record intact.

On the road to face Cowra Eagles at home, an under-strength Denley Moor scored first before going down 2-1 to the home side.
