Late goals seal win for Barnies Beyond Blue

The B-Grade clash between Barnstoneworth Beyond Blue and Ex-Services was hanging in the balance before a flurry of late goals sealed the victory for Barnies.

Two goals from Barnies winger Adam Radburn opened the scoring before Ex-Services striker Marc William hit back to bring up a 2-1 scoreline at half time.

The gap lengthened when Ben Parker cleaned-up after a corner to make it 3-1, before Marc William ran onto a through ball to bring it back to 3-2.

A minute later, with legs tiring, a shot by Barnies forward Chris Davis was blocked by the keeper, but he found the ricochet and found the back of the net.

Adam Radburn was on the spot to make the most of a short throw from the keeper to make it 5-2 with a hat-trick on the day.

In the other B-Grade match, Rangers were back to full-strength squad for their game against KWS.

In a tough game, Dylan Halls scored for Rangers and team manager Tori Worboys was delighted with the contribution of keep Luke Bingham.

“Luke Bingham had an absolute screamer of a game, pulling out some big dives and keeping us even,” Tori Worboys said. “He even supplied enough pressure in a spot-kick to throw the Kinross kicker off for a miss.”

Both sides hung on to grind out a 1-1 scoreline until the final 2 minutes when Kinross snagging a goal after some offside confusion. “Just wasn't our best day or performance,” Waorbioys said.

The final score KWS 2 : Rangers 1, puts KWS to the top of the B-Grade ladder with Rangers in 2nd.
