Denley jump to early lead over Tigers

Two early goals gave Denley Moor the advantage in their clash with the Millthorpe Tigers on Sunday in C-Grade.

A shot from Phil Bennett delivered the opener before he backed up to put a deflected corner away to make it two.

A cracking shot from Denley defender Cino Kurian and another successful duel with the keeper from Denley winger Harley Smith made it 4-0 at the break.

Tigers came out after the break pressuring the Denley defence. Striker Roy Davis was unlucky not to score.

With legs tiring, Denley midfielder Dan Hiller let fly from 25 metres out to round out the 5-0 win.
