Denley comes from behind to snatch finals berth

Denley Moor came back from 3-1 down on Saturday to win their Division 2 major semi against CYMS Gold.

Two goals from CYMS winger Joe Throup and one from striker Ben Churchland gave CYMS a spring in their step early.

But Denley replied with three of their own from Harley Smith, Richie Shields and Cino Kurian to bring the scores level at the main break.

Both sides had their chances in the second half before Denley midfielder Dan Hillier lobbed a strike over the CYMS keepers head to make it 4-3.

Denley started to put passes together, their efforts rewarded when Smith made it two and hand Denley the 5-3 come-back win.

Denley will play Cowra on Saturday, after Blayney handed the Eagles a tight 1-0 defeat.

The Division 3 semi saw a 5-0 win for Tahs Mariners over Brighouse. Brighouse will re-group to take on Waratahs Eagles on Saturday.
