Barnies B-Grade derby ends in draw

The Barnstoneworth club local derby round continued in B-grade, with Barnies Beyond Blue and Barnies Rangers also ending in a 1-1 draw.

An under-strength Rangers side did it tough, reduced to ten players in the first half after their full-back went off injured. Despite the shorftfall they opened up a one goal lead at the main break.

A still improving Barnies Beyond Blue side clawed back the margin to level when Aaron Splendor found the bottom corner of the net.

After three wins to start the season, the match gave Rangers their third draw in a row.

In their first round since being bumped up from C to B-grade, CYMS Pink showed they’ll still be competitive. Last year’s B-Grade grand finalists finished with a 3-0 win over Saints Ignite.
